CSA PARTICIPATES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NATIONAL EDTECH STRATEGY

The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) recently participated in a stakeholder engagement on Education Technology (EDTECH) Strategy Development hosted by the Centre for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS).

The event gathered key stakeholders including the Chairman of the National Education Forum, Prof. George K.T. Oduro, and a Senior Education Specialist at the World Bank, Ms. Eunice Ackwerh.

The engagement that aimed to formulate comprehensive strategies to support equitable EDTECH adoption and inter-agency collaboration assembled participants from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, the Ghana Education Service, and industry players.

Discussions focused on current EDTECH challenges, strategic priorities, and enhancing teacher capacity and digital literacy with thematic areas on governance, infrastructure, capacity building, inclusivity, Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity and data protection

An Official of the CSA, Mad. Mary Ama Bawa, led discussions on cybersecurity, Digital Safety, and Data Protection and sensitised participants on the importance of creating secure digital learning environments.

The workshop successfully advanced the development of Ghana’s EDTECH strategy with positive feedback for its comprehensive approach and participant engagement.
