CSA Office for Ashanti Region will Bolster Cybercrime Crackdown
On May 7, 2026, the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) visited Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, to inspect identified office spaces for the operationalisation of the Authority’s Regional Office.
The delegation was received by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, who facilitated the allocation of the office space.
The Director for Capacity Building and Awareness Creation at the CSA, Mr Alexander Oppong, who led the delegation, made a presentation on the overview of the Authority’s mandate, stressing the need to improve cybersecurity awareness across the country, through regional presence.
In response Dr. Amoakohene acknowledged the importance of cybersecurity in the current socio-economic dispensation and the need to curb cybercrimes which are on the rise in the region.
The minister further assured the CSA of his continued support in strengthening efforts in the fight against cybercrime in the region and the country as a whole.
