CSA TRAINS STAFF OF THE GHANA REVENUE AUTHORITY ON CYBER HYGIENE PRACTICES
The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) as part of its awareness creation on cybersecurity engaged the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to empower the staff on the importance of practicing cyber hygiene and safeguarding their cyber environment.
Mr. Joseph Antwi Attoh, a Deputy Manager at the National Computer Emergency Response Team who trained the officials focused on three of the most reported cybersecurity cases which are cyberbullying, online fraud, and online blackmail.
He further educated the personnel on practical measures they should take to stay safe online; stressing on the importance of using robust passwords and implementing multi-factor authentication. He also cautioned against the use of free and public Wi-Fi as well as pirated software. These safeguards, he underlined, were critical in keeping individuals safe from cyberattacks.
He shared the CSA's emergency points of contact, which acted as a direct mechanism for the public to report any potential cyber threats or occurrences promptly.
The training session was part of events marking the National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM) 2023, on the theme: "Promoting a Culture of Digital Safety."
