DR. ALBERT ANTWI-BOASIAKO HANDS OVER CSA LEADERSHIP TO MR. DIVINE SELASE AGBETI

The pioneering Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako, bid farewell to his role, passing the leadership baton to his successor, Mr. Divine Selase Agbeti.

The handover was not just a change in leadership, but a symbolic passing of a legacy, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another for the CSA as the unspoken bond between two individuals who remain committed to safeguarding the nation’s digital future.

In a ceremony graced by the Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Mr. Samuel Nartey George, Dr. Antwi-Boasiako bid farewell to an institution he helped build from the ground up, a journey that transformed Ghana’s cybersecurity landscape.

Under his leadership, Ghana became a reference point in Africa for cybersecurity governance, securing critical legislation, building international partnerships, and strengthening national cyber resilience. From spearheading the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038) to overseeing the protection of Critical Information Infrastructure, his tenure was defined by innovation, tenacity, and an unwavering commitment to digital security.

The minister commended Dr. Antwi-Boasiako for his hard work in developing cybersecurity in Ghana and expressed confidence in the expertise of the newly appointed Director-General, Mr. Agbeti, to further champion Ghana’s gains in cybersecurity.

Dr. Antwi-Boasiako expressed his deepest gratitude to each one of the staff for their unwavering support, dedication, and commitment that have been the cornerstone of the CSA’s shared success over the years.

“I have full faith in the incredible potential of this team and the future of the CSA. I encourage you all to continue supporting the new Director-General with the same enthusiasm, passion, and unity that you have shown me,” he added.

Mr. Agbeti in a goodwill message to staff of the CSA entreated the employees to uphold innovation and hard work to ensure the growth of the institution towards building a resilient digital Ghana.
