CSA BOARD INAUGURATED
The 1st Governing Board of the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has been inaugurated in Accra. The event was presided over by a High Court Judge, her Ladyship Justice Afia Serwah Asare-Botwe, on 18th February 2022.
Pursuant to Section 5 of the Cyber Security Act 2020 (Act 1038), the governing body of the Cyber Security Authority is appointed by the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.
The members of the Board are Hon. Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Chairperson and Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, Hon. Albert Kan-Dapaah, Minister for National Security, Hon. Ambrose Dery, Minister for the Interior, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul, Minister for Defence and Dr. Albert Antwi-Boasiako, Director-General of the CSA. Other members are Prof. Boateng Onwona-Agyeman, Mr Carl A. Sackey, Mad. Adelaide Benneh Prempeh, Mad. Esther Dzifa Ofori, Mrs Mavis Vijaya Afakor Amoa and Mr Reginald Botchwey.
The Board has oversight responsibility for the Authority and is responsible for the strategic direction and policies of the Authority. It will further manage and disburse the Cybersecurity Fund in accordance with section 30 of the Act, and ensure the efficient and effective performance of the functions of the Authority.
